Inspiration Found in Unlikely Places
While waiting for paint to dry the other day, I noticed these cool patterns in an uncarpeted area of our studio space. While most people might see this as ugliness, it was pure beauty for me. Here was an abstract painting right below my feet. I grabbed the nearest camera – my iPhone – and shot through an iPhone App called Pano which takes and automatically stitches together photo images. Because the photo is in panoramic form, some of the resolution is lost and detail is not there – maybe I will go back and shoot it with my DSLR and stitch it in Photoshop.
I can almost imagine this as a large, abstract painting in the large gallery of an art museum somewhere.
