This is the same location as “Rockland Fishing Pier” which was done on the opposite side of the pier.

One of the hazards of plein aire painting is the fact that life certainly doesn’t stand still while you are painting the scene before you. As I painted “Rockland Municipal Pier”, boats came and went and the tide dropped at least twelve feet (maybe more!) So, it is important to get as much of the initial painting down as possible!
