You can’t have Italian landscape paintings without cypress (and olive) trees! “Cypress Row, Gargnano, Italy” is the view of the road that leads up the hill to a monastery where we stayed when I attended a painting workshop with il Chiostro on the banks of Lake Garda in Northern Italy.

I could have done a hundred paintings from this very spot. I got plenty of daily exercise walking up and down this road.
